Abstract
The Universiti Teknologi Kebangsaan (UTM) Library has successfully pioneered an opportunity to enrich and preserve a valuable knowledge treasure with the establishment of Koleksi Khazanah Intelektual Johor. Apart from fulfilling the need for learning, teaching and research, the UTM Library extended its services in support of the Johor State Government’s proposition to become the Malay
Cultural Centre with a global importance. The Library has taken the initiative to collect various genre of scholarly materials about the state of Johor comprising
of books, research reports, chapters in books, journals, monographs, theses, scholarly artefacts, newspaper cuttings, and magazines. These materials will enable students and the community to retrieve reference sources on the state of
Johor in various disciplines of knowledge. It is hoped that this treasure trove can be preserved as a scholarly reference for future generations.
