Abstract
Immunisation is an attempt to replace the anticipated natural primary contact between the human body and a hostile organism, with a safer artificial contact, so that any subsequent natural contact takes place in a state of heightened immunity. While advances in public health and medicine have reduced the morbidity and mortality rates accompanying certain infectious diseases, Immunisation represent the single-most mass approach prevention (Zimmerman, 1987)
