Abstract
Guidelines for surface water sampling. The general principles involved in the chemical and bacteriological sampling of streams, rivers, lakes and ponds are discussed, and specific recommendations regarding sample storage and preservation procedures are given. Groundwater, suspended sediment and biological analyzes are not considered.
