Abstract
For Malaysia, the Government policies have given the biogas industry the needed boost. Biogas was considered as a fuel under the Fifth Fuel Policy, which was implemented decades ago. The inclusion of biogas as a benefactor of the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) mechanism when the perk was introduced in late 2011 gave the sector the extra nufge to prosper further. The FiT mechanism is provided through the Renewable Energy Act 2011, and it is administered by SEDA Malaysia.
