Abstract
Malaysia is committed to implementing Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) for the sustainable management of the country’s water resources since the late 1990s. The National Water Resources Policy formally launched in March 2012, further reaffirms the adoption of IWRM which calls for balanced development and management of “water as a resource” and “water for livelihood”.
