Abstract

Lakes and reservoirs in Malaysia are natural or man-made. The common uses of these water bodies are for water supply to serve domestic, industrial and agricultural purposes, for hydroelectric power generation, for flood control, for navigation and for recreation. They are also home to diverse biological species and fisheries.
