Abstract
MIMOS’ healthcare technology programme, which was initiated in 2013 as the Healthcare Information Technology Framework, is intended to support the needs of the Ministry of Health in particular, and that of the Malaysian public in general. Now better known as MIMOS Smart Healthcare, upgrades and enhancements of the initiatives involve growing use of Industry 4.0 technologies such as Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, particularly for healthcare provider central database and decision support systems. For devices and applications, photonics technology and IoT are also employed.
