Guideline for offshore floating facilities (GOFF)

Guideline for offshore floating facilities (GOFF). Manual. Petroliam Nasional Berhad, Kuala Lumpur.

Abstract

Floating production facilities function as an alternative for receiving and producing hydrocarbons in deeper water depths or from marginal reservoirs. It is used as temporary
facilities to realize and accelerate production start-up and hydrocarbon evacuation. Compared to fixed facilities (e.g. platforms), floaters have the advantage of being able to move from field to field following completion or depletion of reserves in a particular field. The floating production facilities are equipped with processing equipment for the separation, storage and offloading of oil and gas that are routed from sub-sea oil wells or platforms.
