Abstract
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Accounting Research Institute director Professor Dr Normah Omar has been recognised as one of the most influential women in Islamic finance for her passion in Islamic financial criminology. Normah, who was given the award by the Cambridge International Finance Advisory, was ranked second after Bank Rakyat chairman Datuk Noripah Kamso.Cambridge International Finance Advisory is a United Kingdom-based organisation that provides strategic advice to governments, financial institutions and multilateral organisations in the development of financial markets.Normah received her prize during the inaugural 2nd WOMANi Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, recently.
