Abstract

MIRI: Federation of Sarawak Melanau Association (PPMS) president Tan Sri Dr Muhammad Leo Michael Toyad Abdullah wants the Melanaus to be more united in their struggle to become a developed and progressive community.

In this regard, the Mukah MP said the Melanau community, well known for their exceptional courtesy must continue to assist each other, especially the younger generation and work closely with them towards a common goal of turning Sarawak into a high income state by 2030.

“Members of the Melanau community must remain united and work together in synergy to ensure continuous development in the state. We need to stay as one big family so that it is easier for us to progress in our development efforts for many years to come,” said Toyad to an audience of over 1, 000 guests at the 55th Miri Melanau Association anniversary dinner at a leading hotel here on Friday (Nov 10).
