Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil & (MSPO P&C) &MSPO supply chain. [Phamplet]
Abstract
Malaysia is one of the world’s largest palm oil-producing countries and the industry remains integral to the country’s economic growth. However, in recent years, concerns relating to environmental and social issues associated with palm oil cultivation have been gaining traction globally. The Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) Certification Scheme is a national standard, designed to promotesustainable palm oil production in Malaysia. It serves as a framework for industry players to practice greater accountability towards the social, environmental and economic aspects of their activities. The MSPO Certification Scheme consists of an accredited oil palm management and supply chain certification. SIRIM QAS is recognised as an MSPO Certification Body by the Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council (MPOCC), ready to help certify palm oil plantations and supply chains against national requirements.
