Abstract
SEBERANG PRAI: The disaster management unit, set up by the Penang government, is ever ready to face industrial disasters in the state, Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said.
He said the unit, under the State Secretary's Office, also acts to integrate logistics in the event of any disaster.
Chow added that all manpower, including the government, private sector, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), local communities, society, and individuals, has been jointly mobilised under the unit to serve as a cohesive team to deal with crises.
