Abstract
MUKAH, April 26: The annual staging of the iconic Kaul Mukah festival not only preserves and strengthens the cultural heritage of the Melanau community but also drives positive growth in the local tourism and economic sectors.
In a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report, Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg emphasised that the festival provides opportunities for small entrepreneurs, promotes local products, and introduces Mukah as a unique tourism destination to visitors from across Malaysia and abroad.
"Kaul Mukah is a treasured cultural legacy passed down through generations of the Melanau people, rich in symbolism, customs, and spiritual traditions.
