Abstract
SIBU: Melanau-related associations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) across Sarawak should be restructured to enhance their effectiveness and relevance.
According to Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh, while there are many such organisations throughout the state, some are no longer active.
“We need to revitalise these associations so they can help unify the Melanau community and, at the same time, engage with other ethnic groups to contribute to Sarawak’s development,” he said.
