Abstract
The agriculture sector is not spared from the devastation caused by the Covid-19 crisis. The declining bulk demand from the hospitality and tourism sectors and the disruption of the global supply chain bound to cause negative impacts on the sector.
The Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia also affected the activities of the agriculture sector. For example, a few days after the MCO took place, some local farmers were reported to have difficulty selling their produce. Some resorted to social media to market their produce, while some were forced to donate or dispose of unsold produce.
