Bumiputera Prosperity Council to empower Bumi socio-economy. [Newspaper] (2020)
Abstract
The government will form the Bumiputera Prosperity Council (MKB) which will serve as the highest platform in efforts to empower the development of Bumiputera socio-economy, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Economy) Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed. The decision to set up the council was made in the Economic Action Council (EAC) meeting led by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today, said Mustapa.
"MKB, which will be chaired by Muhyiddin, is part of a strategic intervention framework to drive and speed up the empowerment of the Bumiputera economy. It will be materialised through efforts to increase capacity and cross-capabilities through various programmes.
