Abstract
A more concerted effort must be carried out by the government to manage solid wastes in the country before the situation becomes more serious and unmanageable. Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan said all forms of education currently to boost the awareness of the people must be enhanced, towards this end. He said among the incentives which had been given towards solid waste management thus far was the “Recycle For Life” card, which enabled cash values to be entered into the card to replace cash when selling recycled goods, and redeemable in selected supermarkets.
