Abstract
KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 24): The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has set licensing conditions on Digital Nasional Berhad’s (DNB) responsibility regarding 5G access pricing to ensure the cost of services offered is reasonable, according to the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (KKMM).
In a reply posted on the Parliament website on Wednesday (Nov 24), KKMM said legal provisions also empowered MCMC to fix the cost of wholesale services offered by telecommunications companies.
“The Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 also empowers MCMC to fix wholesale prices through the Mandatory Standard on Access Pricing.
