#TECH: UKM to co-host cyber security course for women. [Newspaper] (2021)
Abstract
UNIVERSITI Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), together with Cyber Security Academia Malaysia (CSAM), PDRM, CSM, IEEE WIE, and UM, will organise a special online course for women on cyber security, called Sibernita. According to the Program Chair of Sibernita, Associate Professor Dr Siti Norul Huda Sheikh Abdullah, the programme is aimed at nurturing women with cybersecurity skillset essentials to suppress the cybercrime rate among women. "The modus operandi of the cybercriminals are changing rapidly as they usually make personal research of selected hot topics or classified threatened news such as unreported vehicle summon, bank or court warrant, and 'haji badal' by targeting in groups later personalised their misbehavior actions according to individual," she said.
