Our vlogmentary discover the heritage Malay traditional which is Batik Malaysia. It was great to experience getting to know more about Batik Malaysia from the experts.

Batik was first introduced to Malaysia back in the 17th century during the reign of Parameswara in Melaka. Batik Malaysia is well known especially in Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang. Batik is a type of fabric that is produced through the process of applying liquid wax and dyeing colours.

There are a few researchers saying that batik comes from India, some of them said from Indonesia and there are also saying from Mesir. Hence, until now there is no information or valid facts on where batik actually comes from.

Our vlogmentary complete in one month. We have Puan Fariza Jumri from Jadi Batek for our interview session to know more about the uniqueness of Batik Malaysia and the challenges faced by local entrepreneurs in preserving Batik Malaysia.
