Late governor-general's manuscripts being digitised

Late governor-general's manuscripts being digitised. [Newspaper] (2019)

More than 30,000 manuscripts — the legacy of the late governor-general of Malaya, Malcolm MacDonald — containing correspondence on the aborted Malayan Union proposal, are being digitised and will soon be made public for free.

The digitisation of the documents, containing his correspondence dating back to the 1940s, is the result of a collaboration between the University of Durham, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) and the National Archives of Malaysia.
